Four Shores III

Four Shores III
This project was carried out by Simon Barker in collaboration with artist Stephen Turner as part of the Four Shores project. Palettes of colours were assembled for each of the four landscapes which had been the focus of the project.
Colours were sampled from Simon Barker and Stephen Turner's photographs, taken during the course of the project and assembled into four separate colour charts. Initially these were intended to become the colours of the sea wall bench structure, but as this project developed and changed, the colour charts became a series of graphics which were published in the project catalogue. The colours were named according to their association with and in celebration of places, things, ideas and personalities, which had arisen in the course of the project. Subsequently the four charts were compiled and published as a freely-available poster and as a limited edition print. The chart was then further developed as a DVD projection work.
