This re-examination of the urban villa was designed in a limited competition for private clients. The rooms are efficiently packed within a cubic volume, but not in an unvarying array. Each room has an entirely different character. Light, view, proportion, position, material, colour and activity are brought together to create diversity and richness. The plan and sectional arrangement has been carefully devised so that moving through it is an experience of discovery.
